Congratulations to poet Elizabeth Wilcox, whose poem “Vacation” was the first winner of the Poetry X Prize for Poetry.
The Poetry X Prize for Poetry: Fall 2006
The Poetry X Prize for Poetry is a bi-annual award given to a poet of merit of an original, previously unpublished poem in English. The total prize pool for our second contest is at least $400, divided between first, second, and third place winners. All winning poems will be published in the poetry archives.

Details
Entry Fee: $5 per poem (60 lines or less). No limit to the number of entries per poet.
Deadline: 15 December 2006 11:59 PM EST
All entries will be "blind" as the judge will not see the poet's name until after selecting a winner.
The judge for the Poetry X Prize for Poetry is Jough Dempsey.
